The Year of the Dragon is very special. Dragon is powerful, energetic, full of vitality, and goal-oriented, yet idealistic. Recent years of the Dragon are 1940, 1952, 1964, 1976, 1988, 2000, 2012, and 2024. Dragon is magical. It can fly and swim in the ocean, and is the most powerful creature in the universe.
In the Chinese culture, this is the best year to get married and have a baby so you will have a dragon son or dragon daughter.
Let’s celebrate the Chinese New Year (The Year of the Dragon 2/10/2024) together by wearing something red and eating delicious Chinese food at Hunan Manor restaurant in Columbia. The dishes are served FAMILY STYLE. You share every dish with others at your table.

4:00-5:00PM: Slide Show (optional activity) - "Hong Kong, Pearl of the Orient" by Joy Cheung (photos taken during her trips in 2011 and 2019)
5:00 - 5:30 PM: Social hour (Please arrive at 5 PM if you want to skip the slide show.)
5:30 - 7:00 PM: Dinner
