It is said that tasting or drinking wine can cause a greater cognitive response than any other beverage. Taking this a step further, Wine Spectator in July 2022 reported that a Japanese study linked wine drinking to better cognitive function for the elderly. How does tasting a wine evoke a cognitive response? This Teach and Taste will walk you through the steps of a structured wine tasting. Then you will have an opportunity to apply those steps while tasting a white and a red wine. There are many different wine evaluations. Our Teach & Taste sessions uses a quick evaluation method, but also encourages participants to become more detailed if they wish. A more detailed form will also be introduced. This is a great way to “get into” wine-tasting in a down-to-earth, casual environment, held in Terry and Kathy’s home. It’s social, educational and just plain fun. Hope you can join us for the wine-free background intro on Sept 10 and this session as well, but if you can only get to one session, you’re still welcome!
