Topic: Discovery Session: Blind Tasting of Pinot Noirs
Summer is quickly approaching and a very drinkable red wine for rocking on a porch/deck to an outdoor barbecue is Pinot Noir. This international grape is planted throughout the world. There are some notable wine regions though. This Teach & Taste will look at six international wine regions that are noted for their Pinot Noirs. Which region do you like the best?
We will taste six Pinot Noirs blind. You will rate each Pinot Noir for how much you like it. Then rank the six wines you tasted. In this Discovery Session, you will learn what your favorite Pinot Noir wine regions are as well as least favorite regions.
Possible Pinot Noirs may include the following regions.
Bourgogne (Burgundy), France
Vin de Pays, France
Willamette Valley, Oregon Santa Barbera County, California
Central Otego, New Zealand
Australia
