12:45 -1:00 pm Photo Slide show: TVIH's Early History 2012 - 2015 (by Joy Cheung)
The seeds for TVIH were planted at the first public meeting at Linden Hall, in Dorsey’s Search Village Center, Ellicott City on 11/7/2012. 50 people showed up to hear about the concept of “Aging in Place” with speakers from the Capitol Hill Village in Washington DC , and learned how their Village was started and was functioning. Then a small group
of volunteers worked for 2 years to get ready to accept the first TVIH member applications on 11/1/2014. The rest is history!

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of that beginning, a lunch is planned to honor TVIH’s First Board and Founders. Philip Dopkowski, Pamela Johnson, Mary McGraw, Judy Pittman, Ginny Thomas, Duane St.Clair and Joy Cheung signed the Maryland Articles of Incorporation on 8/5/2013. Additional Board Members were elected in November. The first full guiding Board of Directors was elected on 11/22/13 and included Joe Bettinger, Joy Cheung, Phil Dopkowski, Susan Hailman, Phyllis Madachy, Mary McGraw, George Maestri, Michele Millican, Ginny Thomas and Dayna Brown as liaison to the HC Office on Aging.

All TVIH members and guests are welcome to join this celebration lunch. You will meet and hear stories from the TVIH Founders. You are welcome to bring a side dish or dessert to share.
Outdoor seating will be available.

We thank the following local businesses for their generous donations of gift cards:
Sprouts Farmers Market, Giant Food in Owen Brown Village, Harris Teeter in Ellicott City, Harris Teeter in Kings Contrivance Village, and Safeway in Ellicott City.

TVIH Policy Regarding In-Person Activities
