Joy Cheung will host a watch party of the wonderful romantic coming of age film, Dirty Dancing. Come enjoy a movie that celebrates young love, friendship, and loyalty.

After watching the movie, we will talk for 15-30 min. Tell us what parts of the movie you like the most and why you think the movie is still popular 33 years after it was released.

Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey star in this beloved coming-of-age story set against the backdrop a Catskill Mountain resort during the summer of 1963. Drawn to the staff quarters by the sound of stirring music, vacationing 17-year-old Baby (Grey) meets rebellious Johnny (Swayze), the hotel dance instructor, who is as experienced as Baby is naive. Baby becomes Johnny's pupil in dance - and in love - in this heartwarming, spirit-lifting 1987 movie that continues to captivate generations of movie fans around the world.

Famous lines in the movie:

“Nobody puts Baby in a corner.”
"I carried a watermelon."
“Me? I’m scared of everything. I’m scared of what I saw, I’m scared of what I did, of who I am, and most of all I’m scared of walking out of this room and never feeling the rest of my whole life the way I feel when I’m with you.”
