About this event
Over the past several months a small intrepid band of poetry lovers has been engaged in creating and reading their own haiku as well as reading the offerings of traditional and non-traditional masters of the art.
You can join at any time whether you’re a writer or not. You are welcome! We are very informal and affirming, welcome humor and side conversations about related topics
A traditional Japanese haiku is a three-line poem with seventeen syllables, written in a 5/7/5 syllable count. Often focusing on images from nature, haiku emphasizes simplicity, intensity, and directness of expression.
