TVIH Office Manager 2023

The Village In Howard (TVIH)is seekinga creative, dynamic, and tech-savvy leader as Office Manager for their vibrant and well-established community-based aging-in-place village. TVIH is a non-profit grassroots organization powered by volunteers from its membership that are Howard County residents age 55+. The Village provides its 175 members a myriad of social, educational, and cultural engagement opportunities and for those members in need, a variety of support services including transportation, light home maintenance, tech support and friendly visits. Working in close collaboration with the Executive Director and the Board of Directors, the Manager will be responsible for the organization's overall daily administration.


Primary responsibilities include:

  • Manage daily operations and act as a liaison between the Executive Director, Board, staff and office volunteers helping them with event questions/website issues/billing etc., and keeping all informed of changes, current office tasks and issues.
  • Provide staff support to the Executive Director, Board of Directors and Committee Chairs to help them implement goals. Alert Executive Director and Board of unmet needs and suggest operational and service adaptations.
  • Act as an enthusiastic resource to members needing to be briefed on operations/programs/etc.
  • Process contracts, bills, payments and banking in accordance with approved procedures.
  • Create events on TVIH website calendar and create corresponding Zoom links when requested.
  • Design various fliers/PDF/PNGs for newsletter, website and/or social media outlets.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of an associate degree or 5 years related experience.
  • Demonstrated administrative and management skills.
  • Experience working with volunteers.
  • Excellent computer skills; familiarity with database and membership/volunteer software preferred.
  • Familiarity with social media.
  • Knowledge of Howard County, its human services and experience working with seniors preferred.
  • Ability to work independently without close supervision.

 

This is a part-time position (20 hours/week)
with a salary of $25/hour
