The Travel Group will visit the newly opened
National Geographic Museum of Exploration in Washington DC.
The 100,000-square-foot facility features immersive galleries, historical field gear,
life-sized animal sculptures, and a 400-seat theater.
We’ll depart Columbia via the 305 Commuter Bus
($12 roundtrip, specific transportation details will be provided to registrants).
Plan to arrive at the bus stop near the Columbia Mall between 7.15am and 7.30 am.
We’ll walk 4 blocks to the museum for a 9.45am Highlights Tour.
The guided tour will last approximately 2 hours.
You’ll have time for lunch at the Explorers Eatery food hall in the museum.
You’ll also have time to explore the museum on your own.
We’ll depart the museum at 2.30pm for the 305 Commuter Bus return trip.
The museum tour and entrance fee is $29 payable to Julie Suman.
