This Downsizers’ Club Series is a community of individuals, committed to attending all the 9 sessions together, and led by professionals, united with the common purpose of addressing the challenges
linked to downsizing.

• The small group environment allows each member to participate and share with the group
• as they wish, especially in regard to their challenges and their triumphs along the way.
• We will meet, together as a group, for 9 sessions, once per month on the 1st Tuesday, beginning Tuesday, September 1st, and then continuing through Tuesday, May 4th, 2027, and running from 1:30 to 3:00
• Each monthly meeting will have a topic of conversation, with a variety of speakers specializing in topics of interest to seniors.
• Anticipated topics to be scheduled include:

• Howard County Fire & Rescue
• Decluttering
• Caregivers
• Howard County resources for Aging in Place
• Elder Law attorney, estate planning, paperwork in order
• Death dying and funerals, navigating end of life planning
• Panel of community representatives on transitioning from independent living to senior living communities
• Financial expertise – reverse mortgages, investments, trusts
• Howard County Shock Trauma – Fall Prevention Team
• Alzheimer's

What makes us different?

• With all our years of experience helping clients of all ages, as well as seniors, along with experience of being seniors ourselves; and then most recently completing an intensive yearlong course focusing specifically on the needs of seniors, we feel we are uniquely qualified to assist our local Howard County friends, neighbors, seniors.
• The CSHP- Certified Senior Housing Professional - certification is a specialized training requiring hands on evaluations of senior living communities, working with providers for seniors. This is unlike any other program available today.
