Today Mark and I are thrilled to have Frank Herron, a member of the Village in Howard, in our podcast studio today.
Frank was in the Navy for 31 years, from 1963 to 1994. and retired as a Captain.
Frank was a navy pilot and participated in the space program in the 1960s. He will share with us some of the behind the scene stories. He was there in the sky watching the Gemini space capsules splashing down into the ocean.
Today, Frank will tell us his story of joining the navy as young man, learning to fly different kinds of military aircrafts, and the role he played in the recoveries the Gemini 4, 6A, 7 and 12 space capsules 50 years ago.
