Background Information:
upon popular demand to see the large Azalea garden in bloom, primarily. I have seen them and they are spectacular. In addition, the museum has French and Russian fine and decorative art. Marjorie Merriweather Post, heir to the Post/Kellogg fortune was the wealthiest woman in the United States at her time. She collected much of the art work on the many trips she took with her 4 different husbands. Because Azaleas bloom according to the weather pattern, temperature and moisture, I will find out the best time to visit in late April or early May. There is also an orchid green house at the estate. Orchids bloom in March and beyond. We can have lunch at the restaurant or coffee shop. Stay tuned. for Hillwood.
