You Have the Power to Save Lives
Did you know one organ donor can save up to eight lives and heal
or save more than 75 lives through eye and tissue donation?
The need for organ donors is critical as more than 100,000 people
in the United States are desperately waiting for a lifesaving transplant
And nearly 60% of those who need a transplant are from multicultural communities.
The Village in Howard has partnered with Infinite Legacy to raise awareness about organ donation. Infinite Legacy is the nonprofit organ procurement organization (OPO) serving almost 10 million people in Maryland, Northern Virginia and Washington, DC. The nonprofit facilitates organ, eye and tissue donation and educates people about the critical importance of registering to be a donor.

Lunch will be provided for everyone in attendance
Infinite Legacy works with 68 hospitals and eight transplant centers
to decrease the number of people waiting for a lifesaving transplant.
The organization honors the legacy and generosity of donors and provides care for their families.
Transplants give patients a second chance and allow them time to make more memories
with their families and achieve milestones. We encourage you to get the facts about donation and
register your decision to be an organ donor at your local motor vehicle office or online at infinitelegacy.org.
