About this event

A monthly social for TVIH members to play the domino game "Mexican Train" with friends at the TVIH office.

This is a monthly program.

Mexican Train is a domino game. The objective is for a player to play all the tiles from their hand on the Train Station. It combines tile-matching strategy with friendly competition. A full game takes about 3 hours.

Each guest will bring a snack to share.

Barbara will supply the game sets and teach beginners how to play
this game at the first meeting.

Is Mexican Train a skill or luck?

Mexican Train Dominoes has just the right mix of skill and luck. On the surface it appears, that it only matters what tiles you get, but in reality, the good players know that it is how you play those tiles.

Is there any strategy to Mexican Train?

There are three key elements to a winning Mexican Train strategy: Keep your train private. Pay attention to the scoring and the tiles played. Play matching tiles early and fast.
