About this event
For three years, Dr. Tom Benjamin has entertained TVIH members with creative sessions about music through his very popular LISTEN Series. Now Tom will share jazz and swing music with The Chalice Messengers, at this special Fall Concert. They will provide a mix of jazz, pop, and swing music. At this concert, the Messengers will offer a fresh take on some old favorites. And there are a couple of numbers good for dancing.
The Chalice Messengers jazz sextet was founded in 2007 as part of the jazz program at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Columbia, Maryland. Since then, the Messengers have played at dozens of concerts and services across the DC area. Their music ranges from the Great American Songbook to more contemporary blues, R+B and jazz rock styles, and our concert this October will feature the vocal talents of April Lee.
Tickets are $15.00 in advance and $18.00 at the door.
No tickets will be issued. Check in will be at the door.
