This month’s discussion: Gender in the Modern Era
The concept and politics of gender have changed markedly in the modern era. Our con-cepts have switched from discussions of a binary distinction to broad spectrum. How does this play out in a wide variety of settings, from use of pronouns, to the composition of sports teams? What has happened to the issues that inspired the feminists of the 1960’s? What are the new issues that need to be addressed?
