What is a fortified wine and how do winemakers make them?

Join Terry and Kathy Sullivan, TVIH members for this teach and taste. Learn about the different styles of Ports, as well as other fortified wines such as Sherry, Marsala and Madeira. Fortified wines are higher in alcohol. Therefore, this teach and taste will pair a food item with each wine.

Although not a fortified wine, Brandy is a spirit made from wine. It is often used to make fortified wines. We’ll also taste a Brandy and have a food item paired with it. This teach and taste is ideal for cold winter days and a roaring fire.
