Leave Columbia at 7:30AM to visit Brandywine Museum to see the exhibit of Andrew Wyeth’s work in celebration of his 100th birthday and visit the studio of NC Wyeth. (With a group of 14 or more we will get a special $12 pp senior rate.) Lunch at Hanks’s Place across from the museum. Mid-afternoon go to Longwood Gardens to visit the conservatories and the grounds ($20 62+). Return to Chadd’s Ford and check into the Brandywine Inn (John as group leader will make reservations.) Go out to dinner at the Antica Italian Restaurant & BYOB. Go back to Longwood Gardens for the new fountains and fireworks. Return to hotel for night. Leave hotel at 10AM and go the Krazy Kat Brunch at the Inn at Monchanin Village. Later go to Nemours Mansion, gardens and grounds. (62+ $15) for a 3 hour visit. Drive home at 4 pm, arriving in Columbia around 6 pm.
Fee: Participants pay for all fees and lodging individually Unique directions, location requirements etc.: Carpools will be set up ahead of time and meet at John Eberhard’s home in Columbia (address will be emailed to registrants).
